About Me

Hello and welcome!

My name is Caroline and I’ve been happily diving head first into this world of Education for the last 3 years.

When I first started my adventure 3 years ago, I wanted to experience a world completely different than what I had experienced thus far. I grew up in quintessential New York suburbia; where Friday night football games were the highlight of every school year. I moved on to a state collegeĀ in rural New York when I was 18; the biggest building in town being a Walmart. The mall was called the sMall! So, after my 4 years of studying Early Childhood/Childhood Education and having the time of my life in Small Town, USA I asked myself where I would want to go next and ultimately, where would I want to jump start my teaching career?

New York City, obviously.

I signed up for a student teaching placement in NYC and after a whirlwind of a summer I embarked on my next adventure in the Bronx. I enjoyed my time in first grade but absolutely fell in love with teaching fourth grade. As my time quickly dwindled away, I struck gold.

I was called into the principal’s office. I was offered a job.

A week later I graduated.

A week after that I was a fourth grade teacher’s assistant.

Currently, I am continuing my time at the charter school that took a chance on me back in 2014. I am a 3rd grade lead teacher in an ICT classroom.

Now that you’re caught up, I’d like you to continue this journey with me!
